Fiber Splicing Technician

We are currently interviewing qualified Journeyman Level Fiber Splicers who are available to commit to a long term nationwide installation project.
This project is expected to start the first week of April 2009.
You must be willing to consistently work overtime and travel.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5 years experience splicing fiber (fusion method) and working with both fiber-to-the-node and fiber-to-the-premises installs.
The scope of this project includes but is not limited to installation and repair of POTS, DSL, FTTN & FTTP. Experience with F2 Conditioning is a major plus. You will be expected to interface with customers on a daily basis and must possess strong customer service skills.
You will be tasked with the function of Installation & Repair Technician. You may be required to drive a company vehicle and must have a clean driver record.
Eligible candidates will be willing to work in a labor intensive environment and will consistently work 60 hours per week (up to 6 days per week). Technicians must be willing to work early morning hours and have reliable transportation, as well as the ability to run jobs from start to finish.
Professional references are required.
- Must have 5+ years experience.
- Must have telecom tools to perform work (Punch down, snips, testers, basic hand tools, etc.).
- Good Attitude.
- Must pass a drug screen.
- Clean DMV Driver Record.
- Reliable transportation.
